Artists present a program during an AIDS awareness campaign in Akhnoor on Tuesday.

JAMMU, September 13: After attending the Regional Folk Media Workshop organized by National AIDS Control Society, J&K AIDS Control Society and J&K Government Department of Health and Medical Education in Lucknow, Sangam Tru Art Production affiliated with Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) has launched a special week-long AIDS awareness campaign through popular media in Akhnoor and Tanda.
In this regard, the musical play “HIV Vishanu Hai” was staged.
The program was inaugurated by the main guest, Anil Kumar Sharma, Principal of Government Middle School, Kapal De Ban, Tanda and Padma Kumari of Government Middle School, Khugan, Tanda who was the guest of honour.
Special guests were Anil Kumar, Rajinder Singh, Duni Chand and Simriti Khanna.
The guest of honor said on this occasion that HIV is a virus that attacks the body’s immune system. He also talked about how HIV is spread.
The short play ‘Nai Chetna’ written by Dr. ML Dogra, BLSKS Chairman was also featured.
The music was composed by MC Kotwal, BLSKS Music Director.
The previous welcome address was delivered by Dr. ML Dogra.
