KROHNE launches the OPTISONIC 7300 ultrasonic biogas flowmeter for measuring dry and wet biogas

KROHNE, a leading manufacturer and supplier of industrial solutions, announced the launch of the OPTISONIC 7300 ultrasonic biogas flowmeter in February 2019. It is specially designed to measure wet and dry biogas with variable composition. The flow meter supports additional functions, such as diagnostic functions, methane content measurement and standard volume calculation. It also has no pressure loss or moving parts. Its signal transducers deliver a powerful ultrasonic signal and help detect tiny, attenuated acoustic signals. Additionally, the mechanical design of the transducer pockets and transducers makes the measurement insensitive to biological scaling and liquid water.

Emerson, a U.S.-headquartered provider of engineering services to a wide range of consumer, commercial and industrial, announced in July 2018 that it had acquired the tools and equipment business of Textron test. Textron is a Rhode Island-based industrial conglomerate. Emerson officials said the acquisition will contribute to the company’s strategy of including companies that will further expand its markets and add some important capabilities to meet ever-increasing consumer demands to drive growth in the global market for ultrasonic flowmeters.
